I feel so much like listening to this song from Tom Jobim and in the voice of Elis Regina, but this March waters in Berlin are not the closure to summer, but hopefully the beginning of spring. Today was the first day in which the anticipation of spring could be detected; I did not have to use gloves or wear woolen stockings under my pants and there was sun and even a butterfly could be seen. One of the things I love the most about living in this part of Europe are the different seasons and the changes they bring, change in the colors, the air, the temperature and the soul. When spring begins the plant buds are about to explode in freshly new blossoms and from one day to the other all wakes up to this vibrant green. Last year, in spring I saw baby foxes, this winter I have not seen much of foxes; they used to come to the patio of the building where I live and in the evenings it was not uncommon to see them walking down the street (and no, I do not live in the suburbs). I am looking forward to take my bike from the cellar and make long rides during the weekends, go to the nearby lakes, take Fermin to one of my beloved parks and when it gets even warmer: plant flowers on my balcony and take long sunday breakfasts sitting there. But next Monday it is forecasted to be cold again and this weekend will rain, the march waters: "a promesa da vida no teu coraçao" - the promise of life in your heart.
