the secret passages

On Monday night I saw again Spirited Away, it was by chance that I saw it on tv, althought it was dubbed in German and that sucks big time, but still I find the motifs and drawings so beautiful! I love traditional japanese aesthetics. The story is also very beautiful and it reminded me this time of another animation movie I saw recently: Coraline. In both films the girls go through a passage (door /tunnel) to an unknown magical world and in both cases they must rescue their parents. What attracts me is the idea of the passage, crossing the threshold and entering another sphere of reality, which sometimes is better but sometimes worse. In Harry Potter, in order to take the train to Hogwarts they have to go through a wall in the station as well. Hidden doors in cabinets, book shelfs, walls, tunnels. Sometimes I miss the non existence of these magical passages in real life (and I am not into metaphysics). Somedays I wish I could have one of these passages and come and go; but in the stories there is always a price for coming and going, maybe that is to convince us not to stay on the other side.
I still like fairy tales and animated films. And about fairy tales, I read sometime ago the original version of the brother´s Grimm stories, and wow, they are cruel, but nevertheless fascinating.
Anyway, I am not really sure why I am writing about fairy tales and magic; I guess is to avoid talking politics.

The drawings: 1 inspired by Spirited Away and the other some Kitchen objects and the mango (but from memory) Por cierto, hoy comi la mitad del mango y estaba bueno.
